Watched Palm Springs from Hulu

When carefree Nyles and reluctant maid of honor Sarah have a chance encounter at a Palm Springs wedding, things get complicated as they are unable to escape the venue, themselves, or each other.

A modern take on Groundhog Day, that is mostly romantic comedy with just a little bit of science fiction, currently streaming on Hulu. Starring Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, and J.K. Simmons, Palm Springs is a highly entertaining film with a running time of a mere 90 minutes.

Watched Snowpiercer from Netflix

In a future where a failed climate-change experiment has killed all life except for the lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, a new class system emerges.

An absolutely extraordinary film.

I’m not sure how I missed this when it was released in 2013. In fact, I didn’t know the film existed until a few months ago when I heard that a television series named Snowpiercer was coming to TNT. When I further researched the show, I learned it was based on a film, which itself is based on a French graphic novel.

If you’re a fan of dystopian science fiction, actor Chris Evans, or director Bong Joon Ho (Parasite), I highly recommend watching the film. It’s currently streaming on Netflix.
